1920's; a cup of coffee at the cafe or a stroll down the city's streets?

I am trying to widen the amount of writing on my posts so, I have written a mini-article to go with these fantastic shoots I found on one of my newly found- favourite websites!

1920's or the 'roaring 20's' has been defined as the fashion of the modern era. After world war 1, art and expressing yourself became  big again- with colour and a variety of fabrics. Women began to look to a new and unique classy style that could be complimented by a variety of accessories such as hats, shoes, dresses, jewelery and handbags.

Big trends such as knee-high dresses, gem bracelets, bobbed hair and cloche hats would all be worn with elegance. A cliche piece of clothing was the flapper dress- something that everyone can associate with the roaring 20's. The connection between the 1920's and now? There are lots more colourful fabrics and people feel more able to express themselves.

Time flies when your having fun!

Remember 'ages ago' when I posted about the 'George' style scouts competition? Well, I won!! Yes I was one of the 4 lucky winners; Me! Jessica Clarke 14, Ellen Ferguson 14,Chelsea Rist 12, Clemmie Ralph 16.

It was such an amazing experience to design for George at ASDA and the collection is now online and will be in stores on Monday!
